| Mohsen W. Matter Mohsen W. Matter is an Egyptian American, presently residing in Pennsylvania, He was a leading manager with Monumental Life Insurance Co., part of AEGON, one of the top 10 insurance companies in the world. Now he is an Agent with TRANSAMERICA Life. He worked in the journalism art field, and traveled Egypt, from Alexandria to Aswan looking for the best way to express the Egyptian daily life. Mr. Matters is known as an established artist who brilliantly portrays all aspects of the Egyptian culture. When Mohsen was three years old his family decided to move to Cairo from a small province in Upper Egypt. At age seven his father, a medicine marketing expert and a researcher at that time, discovered his son’s infatuation with Art, especially painting. The support and encouragement of the family played a significant role in their son’s artistic and academic life. Mr. Matter’s artistic talents were recognized early in his life. He was the sole designer and producer not only of his school wall and settings, decorations and scenes of all the plays and events but also for all the surrounding schools. It took Mohsen Matter two years after joining the University of Cairo to discover his other talents. He was gifted in playwriting, acting and producing the most famous plays in Egypt. In 1972, he received his first award for the best play performed at Cairo University. Soon, after, his father decided to send him to Paris to be in the heart of Arts in the city of Lights. More.....
